about

Village Africa would like to share the beautiful music of Yamba and Milingano with its supporters worldwide. The album hopes to portray an important part of village culture and will help to raise much needed funds.

Men, women and children were excited to support Village Africa in this way. In both villages, groups and individuals worked hard with the project to produce the best sound possible.
Many practised for hours before their recordings which took place in numerous locations: outside under trees; sitting on rocks; in the charity’s office and inside school buildings, churches and homes.
Listen out for the occasional chicken, gust of wind, excited child or noise of the classroom!

The people of Yamba and Milingano were delighted to hear their songs and music on CDs. We hope you enjoy them too!
